## Planning Your Route

Effective route planning helps avoid unfamiliar or difficult roads and allows you to plan around tolls.

Sat-nav systems usually work abroad. Motoring organisations can provide:

- Route guides
- Regulation summaries
- Toll information
- Recommended routes

## Security

Do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle. Never leave valuables in an unattended car overnight.

Loss of essentials such as passports, cash, or cards is extremely inconvenient abroad.

## After Your Trip

When you return to the UK, remember to adjust immediately to driving on the left again.
