In this video, we see Mike continue the session with Adam.

Using 'Step 1', watch how Mike Recaps Adam’s previous knowledge to discuss some 'known' and 'unknown' elements, and identify some learning needs.

In this video, we see the lesson develop, by continuing with 'Step 3 - Do the Job' as agreed in the previous video.


They move onto 'Step 4 - Eliciting Feedback and Adapting the Lesson'.

Here we see the lesson continue to develop.

Watch how Mike uses the '5 step process' as he:
- 'Does the Job' and delivers the agreed level of instruction;
- 'Elicits positive feedback';
- 'Adapts' as a new learning 'need' is identified and;
- uses 'Job Sharing' to agree the appropriate 'level of instruction'.

In this video we see the lesson continue.

Watch as Mike uses the '5 steps' whilst on the move, and compare them to when Mike has carried this out whilst stationary.

In this video, we see the end of this 'Mini Lesson' of 'Turning Left Approaching', so Mike starts 'Step 5 - Reflection' with Adam and we identify a new learning need.

In this video, we see Adam start work on the next 'Learning Need' of 'Emerging Turning Left'.

Watch how Mike recaps previous 'knowns' to discuss his new need.

In Example 2, we see the 'Emerging Lesson' continue, a change of the sharing of risk and Level of Instruction.

The video shows a Reflection and the END of this Mini Lesson of 'Turning Left Emerge' and we also identify a new need of 'Turning Right'.

EXERCISE 4

Here we see Mike deliver the level of help agreed in the 'Job Sharing' from the previous Exercise.  We then 'adapt the lesson' to change level of instruction.

As Mike is 'watching the learner', he spots a driver error in his driving and uses the SAS routine to analyse it.

Here we see Mike using a VTS to discuss 'knowns and unknowns' of the new learning need - 'Emerging Turning Right'.

Here we see Mike and Adam starting the 'Turning Right Emerge', and Mike spots a driver error.

Watch how the SAS routine comes into Step 4 - 'Feedback & Adaption'.

Mike watches Adam re-attempt the 'Emerging Turning Right' delivering the agreed level of instruction.

An 'Examples and opportunity' presents itself to allow Mike and Adam to clarify the learning outcome.
